    A Comparison

    Special Edition: For the PC and Xbox. 1080i HD graphics, re-recorded music. Read more on our Special Edition page.

    Amiga: Has better music than the floppy disk PC versions, but only uses 32 colours. A CDTV version was also developed, but never released.

    16 Colour EGA: Only 16 colours, and adlib music.

    256 Colour VGA Floppy: 256 colours, adlib and midi music.

    SEGA Mega-CD: 32 colours, with CD-ROM music. Enhanced interface (same as Monkey Island 2) with inventory images. Does not have the 'stump' joke. Slightly bolder interface font.

    Atari ST: 16 colors.

    256 Colour VGA CD-ROM/FMTowns: 256 colours, with CD-ROM music, recorded on a Roland MT-32.Enhanced interface (same as Monkey Island 2) with inventory images. Does not have the 'stump' joke.
